Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Krakow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Krakow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Long!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Russell Pearce and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Long looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd cheers as Long lands an impressive looking overhand right. Krakow doesn't seem phased though.
Krakow is looking to clinch.
Long looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Long closes the distance and clinches up with Krakow, looking for a takedown. Long pushes Krakow against the cage but Krakow circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Krakow shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Long manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Krakow passes Long's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Long tries to get to full guard but Krakow has control of the leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Long fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Krakow is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Long sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Long is refusing to be controlled, as Krakow sits in half guard.
Long wants to control but Krakow is keeping busy.
Krakow tries to pass the half guard into mount. Long knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Krakow tries to stand but can't do so whilst Long controls his leg.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Thomas Krakow will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Long throws a good cross that connects.
Krakow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Long avoids it really well and circles away.
Long shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Krakow as he avoids it easily.
Krakow misses with a jab to the body
and Long counters with a stiff right hand.

Krakow closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Long's guard.
Long will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Krakow's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Long is looking for a triangle here but Krakow uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Long is trying to get back to half guard.
Long is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Krakow is controlling him well.

Long takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Krakow stands up.

Long takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Krakow clinches up with Long and pushes him back against the cage.

Krakow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Long throws a head kick that misses.
Krakow is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Long can do to turn this around?
Krakow pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Krakow looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Long looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Krakow is fending him off so far but Long persists. Nope, Krakow circles away and we're back to standing.
Krakow changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Long really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krakow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Krakow controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Krakow stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Long swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Long keeping moving, preventing Krakow from controlling successfully.
Krakow passes Long's left leg - he's now in half guard.

Krakow seems to be looking for submissions.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Long is looking to control Krakow's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Long avoid being mounted?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Thomas Krakow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Long.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Krakow looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Krakow is looking to advance position but Long won't allow it.
Still in half guard, Krakow seems content to control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Well Krakow has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
