Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tito Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Woima Karhu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karhu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. House of Pain - Jump Around kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Woima Karhu has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tito Hyde!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 31 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Woima Karhu!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Wagner Zegers.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karhu pivots, looking for a leg kick but Hyde is out of range and Karhu settles back down.
Hyde throws a quick counter head kick but Karhu was just out of range.
Karhu throws a leg kick but Hyde checks it.
Karhu moves out of range of the body kick from Hyde.
Karhu swings widly with a right hand
and Hyde counters with a left to the body.
We've been told by Hyde's head coaches at GTi 888 that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Karhu cracks Hyde with an open hand slap.

Karhu looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hyde!
Hyde is not content to let Karhu control the position.
Hyde struggling a bit here.

Karhu is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hyde is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Karhu wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hyde keeps working.
Hyde is trying to control Karhu's posture but Karhu avoids it.
Hyde manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Karhu is working for a kimura but Hyde is defending it quite comfortably.
Hyde is positioning himself well to prevent Karhu advancing to mount.
Karhu is keen to just control but Hyde is a slippery customer.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Hyde is defending against the submission attempts here by Karhu.
Hyde is trying to stand back up but Karhu is controlling him
Karhu wants to control but Hyde is keeping him busy.
Hyde is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Hyde pushes Karhu off looking to stand but Karhu dives back in and keeps control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Karhu is trying to control. Hyde wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Hyde lets loose with a powerful body kick. Karhu will feel that in the morning.

Karhu fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hyde sprawls well initially but Karhu persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Hyde makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Karhu throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
As Karhu looks to move away, Hyde throws a big counter combo but Karhu just gets out of the way.
Karhu fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Karhu gets a takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hyde makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hyde.
Hyde being controlled here, momentarily.
Hyde is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Karhu told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Karhu looking to pass the guard.
Hyde is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hyde slows the pace down in half guard.
Hyde looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Hyde wants to take a breather but Karhu is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tito Hyde will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Karhu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hyde.
Hyde is looking to counter with head kicks.
Karhu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Karhu moves out of range of the body kick.
Karhu throws a front kick aimed at Hyde's knee but Hyde avoids it well.
That kick from Karhu tenderised Hyde's leg. Hyde is trying to keep his angry face on.
Karhu moves away from the strike by Hyde.
Karhu takes a swing at Hyde's ribcage but misses.
Hyde lands with a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hyde throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Karhu misses the jab.
Karhu slips a jab from Hyde.
Karhu turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Karhu tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hyde defends well and Karhu ends up having to push Hyde into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Hyde thinks about countering with a head kick.

Karhu scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Hyde tries to improve position but can't.
Hyde manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Karhu wants to take a breather but Hyde is having none of it.
Karhu is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Hyde is trying to maintain the position but Karhu is very close to passing his half guard.
Hyde wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Karhu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Hyde has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Karhu is on him like a limpet, forcing Hyde back against the cage.

Hyde with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
A nice left hand lands by Hyde.
This has been an exciting period of action!

It looks like Woima Karhu has been cut.
Hyde blocking some punches.
Hyde utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
Hyde lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Karhu backwards.
Hyde digs a right hand underneath Karhu's ribcage. Karhu let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Karhu is breathing heavily.
Karhu tries to land a knee to the head but Hyde blocks with his arms.

Hyde drops Karhu with a big knee straight up the middle! Karhu is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!

Karhu is rocked!
Karhu gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Hyde points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Karhu wakes up just in time to hear Hyde thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
