Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Archie Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Billy West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Archie Moore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Billy West!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West throws a shot from downtown. Moore moves away and avoids it.
Moore throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A good leg kick by Moore.
West swings and misses with a hook to the body.
West takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Moore staying out of range there.
Moore is looking to counter punch.
Moore on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
West just misses with a punch to the body.
We've been told by Moore's head coaches at The Studio that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
West swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

West rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Moore moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Moore throws a quick counter head kick but West was just out of range.

West keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Moore is looking to clinch but West is avoiding it.
West misses with a telegraphed body shot

West looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Moore uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from West.

West loads up on a big right hand but Moore slips the punch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Moore takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
West with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Moore to score with a decent uppercut.
A looping hook to the body misses from West. Moore does a little dance to reset his feet.
West is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Moore had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

West instigates a clinch.
Moore lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt West or not.
A head punch on the inside from West fails to land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Billy West will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Moore is looking to clinch but West is avoiding it.
West tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Moore paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Moore takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
West tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
West scores with a jab. Moore acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Moore tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
West's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

and West counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

West is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Moore keeping moving, preventing West from controlling successfully.
West in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as West accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

West moves in looking to clinch but Moore pushes him off.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Moore throws an overhand right that lands on West's shoulder, as West tries to avoid the shot.

West scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It seemed like West was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Moore's hands are dropping dangerously low here and West connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Moore scrambles back to his feet.

Moore parries the strikes from West easily there. West is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Moore to escape.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
West looks up at the clock and then as Moore takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, West smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Moore swings and misses with a hook to the body.
West looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

West throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Moore was covering up waiting for the punch and West finishes the takedown easily into guard.

West slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

West throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Moore stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

West lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

West throws out a powerful jab.
Moore ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Moore throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Moore circles away from the clinch attempt.
It looked like Moore was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from West.
West throws a hook to the side of Moore's head but Moore sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Moore is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by West.
Moore looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Moore will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Billy West comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well West has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
