Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stankovic Dragnovskji!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee throws out a loose jab but Dragnovskji uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lee closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lee lands in his opponent's guard.
Dragnovskji not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lee is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lee wants to pass the guard but Dragnovskji is keeping the position.
Dragnovskji is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Lee content to stall in guard here.
Lee might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dragnovskji has momentary wrist control but Lee slips an elbow through the middle.
Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Dragnovskji is retaining full guard.
Lee passes Dragnovskji's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lee is looking for a kimura here.
Dragnovskji is trying to control but can't.
Lee seems to be working for a kimura but Dragnovskji defends the submission attempt.

Lee passes to full mount!
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Dragnovskji can do anything to dispel that myth.
Lee landing strikes from the mount.
Dragnovskji really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dragnovskji tries to lock up and control but Lee gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Dragnovskji is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Lee has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Lee takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.
Dragnovskji seems to have recovered his senses.
Lee looking to soften up his opponent with punches.
Dragnovskji tries to break free.
Dragnovskji is trying to stand back up.
Lee drops a couple of huge strikes from the back position and Dragnovskji is in real trouble here! Lee lands more strikes and the referee has to step in to end the fight! Lee is delighted!
