Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kid Cudi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Firanen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cudi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is King Wizard. Firanen has chosen Bee Gees - Stayin' Alive as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Kai Firanen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kai Firanen!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Matti Vanhoillinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cudi goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Cudi lands a jab to the nose.
Nice body kick from Cudi.
Firanen tries for a takedown but Cudi sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Firanen throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Cudi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Cudi really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Cudi moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Firanen.
Firanen dives in and scores a takedown into Cudi's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Firanen working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cudi pushes a forearm under Firanen's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Firanen is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kid Cudi!
During a confident post fight interview, Kid Cudi thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
