Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giorgi Pandahammer!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Curran fakes the leg kick and cracks Pandahammer in the body.
Pandahammer thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Curran if he has to take too many more of those.
Pandahammer tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Pandahammer's coach down at Russian Fighting Community Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pandahammer's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Pandahammer tries to clinch up but Curran circles away and keeps his distance.
Pandahammer misses with a kick to the body.
Pandahammer throws an off balance right hand
and Curran counters with a nice uppercut.
Curran slips under a jab from Pandahammer.
Curran throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Pandahammer counters with a straight right hand.

Curran scores with a body shot.
Curran misses with a few strikes there.
Curran lands a nice looking body shot.
Randy Curran seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Pandahammer counters with an outside leg kick.
Pandahammer throws a series of punches but Curran avoids them all with ease.
Pandahammer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Pandahammer walks forward, straight into a front kick from Curran.
Curran looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pandahammer looks winded!
Pandahammer scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Curran feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pandahammer's calf.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Curran thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Pandahammer if he has to take too many more of those.
Curran wants to slow Pandahammer down by chopping away at his legs.
Pandahammer defending well as Curran loads up on a big left hand.
A little jabbing left from Pandahammer on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Curran misses with an uppercut. Pandahammer saw that one coming.
Curran lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Curran cracks Pandahammer with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Curran has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pandahammer to stand back up!


It looks like Giorgi Pandahammer has been cut.
Curran scores with a hook to the body. Pandahammer takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Pandahammer misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pandahammer has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Curran.
Curran throws a sloppy head kick
and Pandahammer counters with a nice body kick.
Pandahammer misses with a right hand
and Curran counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Pandahammer digs a good body shot into Curran's ribs.
Curran jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pandahammer takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Curran throws an overhand right that drops Pandahammer like a sack of potatoes! Curran dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Randy Curran!
Our winner, Randy Curran, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
