Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ricardo Monteban!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Monteban blocks the low kick.
Monteban checks a leg kick nicely.
Monteban lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Pamaus fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Pamaus takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pamaus misses with a kick to the body
and Monteban counters with a stiff right hand.

Monteban shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Pamaus's guard.

Pamaus pushes Monteban off and gets back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Monteban moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Pamaus throws a leg kick but Monteban moved away.
Pamaus connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Monteban misses with a looping left.

Monteban is looking to chop away at Pamaus's legs.

and Monteban counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Monteban.

Monteban breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Aimo Pamaus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Pamaus lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Monteban throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Pamaus on the side of the head.
Pamaus looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Aimo Pamaus seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pamaus lands a leg kick that knocks Monteban off balance momentarily.
Pamaus throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Monteban feints a counter leg kick.
Pamaus pushes Monteban away with a front kick.
A swing and a miss from Monteban.
Pamaus's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Monteban connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Pamaus scrambles back to his feet.

Monteban is trying to trip Pamaus. He has hold of a leg but Pamaus is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Monteban persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Pamaus is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Monteban has his hands clasped together but Pamaus extends and breaks Monteban's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Pamaus.
