Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drotske rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spirit Detonator moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Drotske moves out of range of the strikes.
Spirit Detonator's coach down at CT + BJJ & Wrestling sparring gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Spirit Detonator's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Spirit Detonator throws a predictable looking body shot

and Drotske counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Drotske wants to work for an arm triangle but Spirit Detonator is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Spirit Detonator trying to get back to full guard but Drotske takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Drotske is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Spirit Detonator has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Drotske has control of Spirit Detonator's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Spirit Detonator regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Drotske with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

Drotske is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Spirit Detonator is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Spirit Detonator flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Drotske anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Spirit Detonator and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Drotske slips an arm under Spirit Detonator chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Drotske has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Drotske is squeezing on Spirit Detonator like an anaconda would it's prey. Spirit Detonator fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
