Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Diehard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zdravko Dren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dren comes into a darkened arena with his song building. GETO BOYS - mind of a lunatic kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Bruce Diehard has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diehard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Diehard.
Diehard tries to land a body kick
and Dren cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Dren swings widly with a right hand
and Diehard counters with a nice body shot.
A cross from Diehard lands.
A big right from Diehard misses.
Dren keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Diehard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bruce Diehard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Diehard misses with a takedown
and Dren makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Diehard tries to bum rush Dren with a series of wild strikes but Dren uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Diehard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dren as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Diehard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Diehard ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dren moves away.
Diehard thuds his right hand into Dren's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Dren tries to roll over but Diehard keeps him under control.

Diehard is trying to control the action in half guard but Dren is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Dren wants to improve his position but Diehard is controlling well.

Diehard is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dren defends it well.
Diehard is pressing down on Dren's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dren is holding on for now.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dren has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diehard is working away from the top position though.
Dren wants to improve his position but Diehard is controlling well.

Diehard seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dren is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Diehard's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Diehard's back!

Diehard tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Dren controlling the pace for now.
Dren wants to control the pace but Diehard is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diehard wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Dren.
Dren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diehard. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dren misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Diehard is looking to get to half guard.
Diehard avoids a series of strikes thrown by Dren.
Dren throws a strike there. Diehard manages to avoid it well and slips a leg under to get to half guard.
Diehard tries to get to full guard but Dren has control of the leg.

Diehard is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dren's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dren's back!

Diehard is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Dren is defending well though. Diehard let's go of the attempt for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diehard has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Dren is defending well but eventually Diehard manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Dren has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
