Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Keijo Tapaus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brian Jacks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tapaus changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Tapaus has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Tapaus on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Nice takedown defense from Tapaus. No joy for Jacks on that attempt.
Jacks stuns Tapaus with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Tapaus takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Tapaus knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jacks on the ground.
Tapaus manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jacks manages to get himself to full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Tapaus has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jacks has his foot on Tapaus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tapaus works his way back into a safe position though.
Tapaus is in close to Jacks's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Jacks has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tapaus is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jacks.
Jacks is trying to control Tapaus's posture but Tapaus avoids it.

Tapaus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jacks, who protects the arm well.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tapaus enables Jacks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tapaus manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Tapaus is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tapaus lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

A close second round but Brian Jacks will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's time! Tapaus's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Jacks might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Tapaus haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Tapaus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jacks can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Tapaus controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Tapaus content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Jacks has locked up a guillotine! Jacks's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Tapaus is holding on here and Jacks must be using up a lot of energy. Tapaus has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Jacks gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:45 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Brian Jacks!
Our winner, Brian Jacks, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
