The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hamalainen fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Ahearn wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hamalainen looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hamalainen or perhaps it was just good defense by Ahearn, which made it look bad.

It looks like Konsti Hamalainen has been cut.
Ahearn stuffs the takedown.
James Ahearn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Konsti Hamalainen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ahearn works Hamalainen's body with a nice hook.
Ahearn feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hamalainens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Ahearn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Ahearn stuns Hamalainen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hamalainen looks winded!

Ahearn lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Hamalainen at a distance.
Ahearn digs a good body shot into Hamalainen's ribs.
Ahearn cracks Hamalainen with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Hamalainen falls to his knees and Ahearn doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). James Ahearn!
In his post fight interview, James Ahearn started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
