De Jager is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Afrikanerhart. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gloom digs a good body shot into De Jager's ribs.

De Jager leaves Gloom with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
De Jager lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Guido Gloom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gloom lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
De Jager on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

De Jager is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Gloom with a body shot.

It looks like Guido Gloom has been cut.
Gloom has been working on his balance at ~T~ Troid - Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by De Jager.
Gloom fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt De Jager.

Gloom stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Nice uppercut lands for De Jager. That snapped Gloom's head back.

De Jager flicks out a counter leg kick but Gloom steps away.

De Jager looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gloom tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but De Jager was well out of range. Poor timing from Gloom.

Gloom feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to De Jager's calf.
De Jager moves out of range of the strikes.

Gloom lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
De Jager displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gloom throws out the jab.
De Jager looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but De Jager might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Gloom has got the better of the exchanges.

Gloom is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that De Jager can do to turn this around?
De Jager connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Gloom to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by De Jager!

A relieved looking Bismarck De Jager thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
