Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Boyka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mircea Lucarescu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Yuri Boyka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mircea Lucarescu!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyka throws a head kick that half lands.
Boyka throws a lazy head kick
and Lucarescu counters with a one-two to the body.
Boyka throws a sloppy head kick
and Lucarescu counters with a nice body shot.
Boyka misses with a body kick.
A head kick by Boyka misses
and Lucarescu counters with a two punch combo.
Boyka thows a leg kick but Lucarescu checks it
and Lucarescu counters with a straight right hand.
Boyka throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lucarescu lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Boyka gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Lucarescu counters with a three punch combo that has Boyka backing up. Boyka nods at Lucarescu to acknowledge the strikes.
Boyka is rocked!
Boyka throws a head kick that misses
and Lucarescu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Lucarescu has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Boyka is breathing heavily.
A lazy body kick from Boyka
and Lucarescu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Oh Boyka is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lucarescu fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Boyka to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Boyka looks to clinch but Lucarescu throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Boyka taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Mircea Lucarescu!
Mircea Lucarescu decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
