Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Secco Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Secco Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John King!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King falls off balance throwing a combination
and King takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
King is looking to land body kicks.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones misses with a straight right.
King throws a poor cross that misses
and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Jones pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
King tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.
King blocks a jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jones swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
King swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has King backing up. King nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.
A lazy left from Jones finds it's target.
King has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Nice straight punches there by Jones. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Jones.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

King tries to counter with a clinch but Jones shakes him off and moves away.

King paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. King sees it coming and avoids it easily.
King tries to close the distance and clinch but Jones swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Jones is looking for a counter combo.
King swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Jones on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
A combination from Jones does no damage.
King will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
King slips under a jab from Jones.
King lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jones is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

John King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Jones will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
As Jones backs off King throws a huge counter combo but Jones manages to avoid it all.

The fight stays on the outside here - King looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by King.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jones on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Jones looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

enabling Jones to counter with a crisp jab.
Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that King can do to turn this around?

and Jones counters with a three punch combo that has King backing up. King nods at Jones to acknowledge the strikes.

King fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Jones on the side of the head.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

King cracks Jones with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

King displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck King on the side of the head.
Jones darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Jones throws a shot from downtown. King moves away and avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Secco Jones will probably get the nod.

King tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
King throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King throws a leg kick
letting Jones counter with a right hand.
King moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab.
King has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Jones avoids the body shot from King.
Jones swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

A looping hook to the body misses from King. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet.
Some wild striking there from King.
Jones throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


King is rocked!

Secco Jones clearly takes that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jones connects with a crushing straight, right on the bridge of King's nose, sending him crumpling to the mat! That's really rocked King - is he going to beat the count??? 4,5,6,7,8,9.....10 - he's not made it - this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 4, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Secco Jones!
Secco Jones tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
In defeat, John King stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm humble in victory or defeat. This means that I need to go back, train & get better. I won't stand still. I'll be back!'.
