Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chad Mendes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edmundo Edilhson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendes kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Childish Gambino - Redbone. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Nice jab there from Mendes.
Edilhson moves forwards but Mendes connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Mendes definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mendes uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Mendes is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Mendes throws a hook to the side of Edilhson's head but Edilhson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A little feinted left hand from Mendes on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Mendes wants to clinch up but Edilhson keeps it at a distance.
Mendes is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Mendes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Edilhson finds it's way round the side to connect with Mendes's head.
Edilhson scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Edilhson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Mendes. That did some damage!
Oh Mendes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
