Pentacost comes into the arena with Code Blue Coma/ Downset blaring out of the sound system. Stacker Pentacost has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 2 wins and 0 losses; Ben Richards!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Bruno Lombardi and Russell Pearce.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Richards working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pentacost doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pentacost manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Richards escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pentacost gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Pentacost has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Pentacost's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Richards is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pentacost pulls his head out easily.
Pentacost uses his free foot to push down on Richards's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Richards.

Pentacost wants to take his opponent's back but Richards doesn't allow it.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pentacost tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Pentacost is looking to work his way around to Richards's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Richards's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Pentacost is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
