Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Olliver Gullion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cliff Rigano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Olliver Gullion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cliff Rigano!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rigano throws a jab but it's blocked by Gullion.
Gullion slips under a jab from Rigano.
A jab from Rigano misses.
Gullion scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Rigano misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Gullion.
Rigano blocks a head kick by Gullion.
Rigano tries to clinch but Gullion moves out of range.
Gullion throws a quick counter head kick but Rigano was just out of range.
Rigano cracks Gullion with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Gullion drops his hands momentarily and Rigano takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Gullion drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Gullion bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Rigano throws a looping overhand right but Gullion ducks down to avoid it.
Gullion lands a head kick. Rigano smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rigano misses with a two punch combination.
No luck for Rigano with that takedown attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gullion throws a push kick but Rigano slaps the foot to one side.
Rigano checks the leg kick.

Rigano drives through and clinches with Gullion against the cage.
Gullion wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Gullion's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rigano shoots for a takedown but Gullion saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Gullion jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Gullion scores with a head kick.
Rigano throws a low kick but Gullion avoids it.
Rigano takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Rigano takes a kick to the side of the head.


Rigano is rocked!
Rigano shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gullion pinned against the cage. Gullion gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gullion throws a quick counter kick to the body but Rigano avoids it.
Olliver Gullion has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cliff Rigano.
Gullion throws a head kick that misses
and Gullion takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gullion lands a head kick!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Gullion uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rigano.
And Gullion counters with a quick kick to the body but Rigano blocks it.
Rigano takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Rigano is still on wobbly legs! Can Gullion finish him?

Rigano fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gullion sprawls well initially but Rigano persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Gullion scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Rigano manages to mount him!
Rigano seems to have recovered his senses.
My spies in The Skating Rink inform me that Rigano has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Rigano looking to ground and pound but Gullion is blocking nicely.
Rigano punching from mount but Gullion doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Rigano won't let Gullion get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
Gullion holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Rigano tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Rigano putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rigano is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Rigano punching from mount but Gullion doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Rigano loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gullion scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Rigano land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Rigano stands and salutes the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cliff Rigano!
A relieved looking Cliff Rigano thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
