The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belcher closes the distance and clinches up with Robbins, looking for a takedown. Belcher pushes Robbins against the cage but Robbins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Marty Robbins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Belcher tries to keep at a distance but Robbins has taken the fight into the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.

Robbins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Robbins sneaks out the side door and pushes Belcher away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Belcher drops his hands momentarily and Robbins takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Robbins looks to land a combination but Belcher avoids it well.
Robbins swats away the attempt to clinch by Belcher.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Belcher slips under a jab.
Belcher takes a body punch but keeps moving.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


The fighters circling - Belcher throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Robbins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Belcher.
Robbins uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Robbins looks to land a right hand but Belcher moved out of range.
Belcher changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Robbins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Belcher closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Robbins to the mat! Robbins manages to get full guard.

Robbins has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Belcher has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Belcher goes for a takedown attempt but Robbins pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Belcher takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Robbins feints a jab promting Belcher to slip. Robbins then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Belcher slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Marty Robbins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Robbins closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Robbins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Belcher will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Belcher takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Robbins closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Belcher! Robbins dives in looking to finish! Belcher is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

An out of breath Marty Robbins thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
