Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Hatsu Matsu and Brock Gracie. Chooooooooon! I think Matsu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to LMFAO - Sexy and I Know It. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Los Angeles, with a TWGC record of 7 wins and 4 losses; Hatsu Matsu! And in the blue corner, fighting out of London, with a TWGC record of 1 wins and 5 losses; Brock Gracie!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.


The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.

Gracie moves into the clinch.

Gracie trying to keep a closed guard but Matsu is proving a slippery customer.
Matsu definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Gracie looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Matsu can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Matsu avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Gracie looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Matsu passes into half guard.

Gracie is looking for a sweep. Matsu is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Gracie tries to buck Matsu off but Matsu is having none of it.
The referee asks Matsu politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Matsu prefers to stall for the moment though.
Gracie is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Matsu's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Matsu is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Gracie is refusing to be controlled, as Matsu sits in half guard.
Gracie won't allow Matsu to pass to mount.

Matsu wants to pass the guard but Gracie is defending well.
Gracie has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Matsu is working away from the top position though.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Matsu's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Gracie moves into full guard.
Matsu works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is looking to control Matsu's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gracie avoid being mounted?
Matsu is taking a breather. Gracie says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Gracie looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Well, if Matsu is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Gracie works his way to full guard. Good work.
Matsu seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
We've been informed that Gracie has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

Matsu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gracie is trying to control the position but Matsu postures up.
Matsu sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gracie's guard.
Matsu prevents Gracie from improving his position.
Gracie is trying to control but can't.
Matsu takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Matsu trying to pass the guard but Gracie defending well.

Gracie preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

Gracie looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Gracie is staying active underneath Matsu, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Still in half guard, Matsu seems content to control.
Matsu is looking to take a break and control but Gracie is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Gracie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Matsu content to control rather than advance.

Matsu has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gracie gets full guard.
Matsu passes into half guard.
Matsu is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Gracie wants to control but Matsu is having none of it.
Gracie is trying to escape the mount.

Matsu looking to control but Gracie is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Matsu seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Gracie does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Gracie is trying to keep Matsu in close.

Matsu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Matsu has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

Gracie tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Matsu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
