Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Lee V (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marat Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magomedov has chosen Evangelion OST - The Beast II as his entrance music. The key to victory for Jackie Lee V has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee V cracks the inside of Magomedov's front leg.
Lee V avoids a punch combination nicely.
It looked like Lee V wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Lee V throws a head kick that Magomedov semi-blocks.

Magomedov forces Lee V back against the cage and clinches.

Magomedov has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Lee V is trying to keep an underhook but Magomedov manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Magomedov seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Magomedov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Magomedov wants to pass to mount but Lee V is defending the position.
Magomedov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

It looks like Jackie Lee V has been cut.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Magomedov has hold of Lee V's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Lee V manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Magomedov throws a lazy right hand but Lee V sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Magomedov wants to pass the guard but Lee V is defending well.

Magomedov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Magomedov connects with a nice short shot to Lee V's temple.

Magomedov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lee V is looking to get back to is feet but Magomedov passes into side control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Magomedov is staying tight to Lee V's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Magomedov creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

Magomedov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

As Marat Magomedov got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: I told you hundred times I will be Champion, do not say you are surprised because I not. Jackie Lee was brave to fight me, but he had no chance'.
