The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randy stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Powell.
Powell throws an off balance right hand
and Randy counters with a nice uppercut.
Randy jabs Powell to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Randy on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Powell. Powell obviously looking to wear him down.
Randy scores with a decent looking hook.
Randy slips a jab from Powell.
Powell moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Randy keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Powell.
Randy is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Powell throws a leg kick but Randy sees it coming and moves out of range.
Randy lands a jab to the nose.
Randy has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Randy is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Powell throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Randy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Powell is in Randy's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Powell wants to control from the top but Randy keeps moving.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Powell is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Randy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Powell moves away.
Powell is looking to score with low kicks.
We've been hearing reports that Powell has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Randy is looking to slow Powell down with leg kicks.
Powell misses the jab.
Powell shoots in for a double leg but Randy sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Randy throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Powell blocks the body kick.
Powell takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
A chopping leg kick lands by Powell.
Randy fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Powell.
Powell tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Randy is able to avoid easily.
Randy scores with a kick to the midsection.
Powell misses with a leg kick.
Randy moves away from the strike by Powell.
It seemed like Randy was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Randy tries to clinch but Powell is having none of it.
Powell feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Randy cracks Powell with a good jab.
Powell takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Powell is breathing heavily.

Randy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Powell. Powell circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Powell uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Randy.
Powell throws a quick counter kick to the body but Randy avoids it.
Randy slaps away a takedown attempt from Powell, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Randy lands a nice leg kick that just misses Powell's sensitive parts.
Randy cracks the inside of Powell's front leg.
Both fighters circling a little - Randy finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

It looks like Love-Hate Powell has been cut.
Powell walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Randy! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
