Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between The Bong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor Tiernan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bong's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hits From The Bong by Cypress Hill. Tiernan has chosen Tartanic - Unavoidable - 09 BAllZ/Ringworm as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Bong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Conor Tiernan!
The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Konstantin Menshow and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good exchange - Tiernan coming out on top.
Bong moves away from the strike by Tiernan.
Tiernan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
It looks like The Bong has been cut.
Bong lands a nice looking body shot.
Bong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tiernan looks to land a body kick but Bong moved away.
Tiernan throws a lazy right hand but Bong sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Bong closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Tiernan lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Tiernan has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Come on Tiernan - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Bong is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tiernan is defending well.
Tiernan lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Bong wants a takedown.
Bong goes for a takedown attempt but Tiernan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Tiernan dips to his left and cracks Bong with an uppercut!

Bong was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

Bong looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tiernan is looking to improve his position.

Bong prevents Tiernan from escaping the position.

Bong is landing with some decent strikes but Tiernan is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Bong misses with a head shot.

We've been hearing good reports from Bong's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Bong wants to control the pace but Tiernan is squirming around nicely.

Tiernan in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Bong throws some wild stikes that Tiernan manages to avoid easily.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bong looking to control but Tiernan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tiernan is squirming around, avoiding Bong's attempts to control the action.
Tiernan holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bong tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that The Bong will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on The Bong's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Bong lands a nice hook to Tiernan's body. Tiernan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bong slips under a jab from Tiernan.
Bong looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Tiernan jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Bong is looking to clinch.
Tiernan throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Bong fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tiernan avoids it really well and circles away.
Bong digs a good body shot into Tiernan's ribs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bong moves away from the strike by Tiernan.
Bong tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tiernan was well out of range. Poor timing from Bong.

Tiernan smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Conor Tiernan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Tiernan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bong.
Bong throws a leg kick but Tiernan sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Tiernan lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Bong wants to clinch.
A cross from Tiernan lands.
Bong takes one to the chin there.
Bong fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bong bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bong has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tiernan is trying to improve his position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bong working the ground and pound but Tiernan is defending the strikes.
Bong grinds an elbow into Tiernan's temple.
Tiernan is not content to let Bong control the position.
Tiernan wants to control but Bong postures up.
Bong throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Tiernan works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Tiernan is staying active underneath Bong, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bong is looking for a kimura but Tiernan is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bong to get the leverage.
Tiernan is trying to maintain the position but Bong is very close to passing his half guard.
Bong not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bong thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Bong thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Tiernan's head.
Bong not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bong maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Tiernan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bong has cracked it and Tiernan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bong!

As The Bong got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: The only thing better than hearing my opponent's bones snap, was seeing the look on his wife's face when I did it...'.
