Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dan Gombos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan has chosen Beast as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A close round but Andrew Ryan will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Ryan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A decent looking cross lands there for Ryan.
Gombos throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A nice side step and Ryan releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Gombos lands a jab to Ryan's midsection.

Gombos closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Gombos will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gombos has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Ryan is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gombos's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Gombos! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Ryan has tapped! This one is allllll over!

A very excited looking Dan Gombos rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
