Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Ritter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Austin Adams!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams throws a looping overhand right but Ritter ducks down to avoid it.
Adams throws out a loose jab but Ritter uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ritter throws a body punch but Adams moves out of range.
Adams swings widly with a right hand

and Ritter counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Adams keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ritter in particular looking to stall.
Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ritter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ritter not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ritter working Adams over with strikes.
Ritter looks to land a strike but Adams avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
Ritter lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Ritter is looking to work some ground and pound but Adams has wrist control.
Ritter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Ritter looking to sit in guard and control but Adams gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ritter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Ritter thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Adams's head.
Ritter lands strikes from half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ritter connects with a nice short shot to Adams's temple.
Ritter uses his free foot to push down on Adams's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Adams.
Ritter throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Adams because Ritter loaded up on that one.
Ritter looking to ground and pound but Adams is blocking nicely.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Adams can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Poor strikes thrown by Ritter there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

It looks like Austin Adams has been cut.
Adams takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Ritter's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sylvester Ritter!
A relieved looking Sylvester Ritter thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
