Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marko Perkovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Devin Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perkovic's entrance music is Nema Predaje by Thompson. A fine choice. Devin Power acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perkovic misses with an uppercut. Power saw that one coming.
Power with the counter takedown but Perkovic avoids it easily.
Power is looking to clinch but Perkovic is avoiding it.
Perkovic seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Power shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Perkovic defends it nicely.
Perkovic darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Devin Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Perkovic misses with a wild body shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Power closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Perkovic to the mat! Perkovic manages to get full guard.

Perkovic is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Power presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Perkovic looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Perkovic scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Perkovic feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Powers jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Power fails to land the takedown.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Power is defended easily by Perkovic.

Perkovic fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Perkovic looks to land a left hand but Power moved out of range nicely.
Power takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Perkovic lands a nice looking body shot.
Power throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Power changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Perkovic tries to avoid it but Power manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Perkovic to the ground. Perkovic escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Perkovic lands a jab to Power's midsection.

Oooooh!!! Perkovic has knocked Power down with a huge combo! Perkovic steps away and waves a wobbly Power back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Power is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Perkovic ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Power is still on wobbly legs! Can Perkovic finish him?

Power drives through with a takedown into Perkovic's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Power seems to have recovered his senses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Power trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Perkovic seems keen to control Power's posture.
Perkovic looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Power puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Power with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Power looking to sit in guard and control but Perkovic gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Power can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Perkovic controls the pace.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Power wants to stand but Perkovic is controlling the position.

Perkovic has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Power tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Perkovic paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Perkovic tries to counter by clinching up but Power breaks away and moves out of range.
Power fails with the takedown.

The fight stays on the outside here - Power looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Power moves away from the strike by Perkovic.
Power darts in looking for a takedown but Perkovic gets double underhooks and turns Power into the cage.
Perkovic wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
