Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marlo Stanfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Reis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanfield comes to the cage accompanied by Legendary. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlo Stanfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian Reis!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanfield misses with a combination

and Reis counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Stanfield's coaches at MM eh Academy have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Reis is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Stanfield defends it well.
Stanfield looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stanfield manages to escape and get back to his feet!
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Reis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Stanfield moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Marlo Stanfield seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reis is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Marlo Stanfield is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Reis slips a jab and a cross from Stanfield.
Stanfield loads up on a big right hand but Reis slips the punch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stanfield. Reis does a little dance to reset his feet.
Reis changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Stanfield comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Stanfield throws a combination. Reis tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Julian Reis has been cut.

Stanfield throws a jab but it's blocked by Reis.
Reis moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Stanfield lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

and Reis counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Stanfield!

Stanfield fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Stanfield looks to land a right hand but Reis moved out of range.
Stanfield closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Stanfield fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Reis is still on wobbly legs! Can Stanfield finish him?
Stanfield clobbers Reis with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Stanfield misses with a double jab.
Stanfield sets himself, and Reis steps forward looking for the clinch! Stanfield avoids it this time.
Stanfield looks to score with a jab to the body but Reis is just out of range.
Reis feints the counter takedown.
Reis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Stanfield finds it's way round the side to connect with Reis's head.

Stanfield misses with a two punch combination.
And Reis tries to counter it with a takedown but Stanfield pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Reis get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Reis stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Stanfield runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
