Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ranky Scorpion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DJ Maximus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Scorpion comes to the cage accompanied by ˇMAYDAY! - Last One Standing. Ranky Scorpion could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to DJ Maximus's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximus gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Maximus takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Scorpion uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Scorpion has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Scorpion, as that shot connected.
Scorpion throws a big shot that misses.

Maximus lands an overhand right.
Maximus has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Maximus tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Scorpion manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maximus pushes Scorpion away with a front kick.
Maximus is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Scorpion.

Scorpion lands a really nice looking cross but Maximus seems unphased.

DJ Maximus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A looping hook to the body misses from Scorpion. Maximus does a little dance to reset his feet.
Maximus throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Scorpion stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Scorpion misses with a takedown attempt - Maximus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Scorpion fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Maximus manages to avoid it.
Scorpion is trying hard to land a takedown here. Maximus sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ranky Scorpion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Maximus throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Scorpion sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Scorpion swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Maximus misses the body punch
and Scorpion counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scorpion was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Scorpion takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Maximus throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

Scorpion is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
The crowd cheers as Scorpion lands an impressive looking overhand right. Maximus doesn't seem phased though.

Scorpion lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Maximus circles away quickly and effectively.

Maximus swings for the body but Scorpion moves out of range.
Maximus takes a swing at Scorpion's ribcage but misses.
Nice defenses there by Maximus.
Scorpion throws a body shot but no joy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Maximus! But no joy.
Maximus ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Maximus now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Scorpion dips to his left and cracks Maximus with an uppercut!
Scorpion lands a slapping body shot.
Maximus uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Scorpion.
Scorpion drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Scorpion throws a hook but Maximus avoids it easily.
Maximus swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Scorpion misses with an uppercut. Maximus saw that one coming.
Maximus throws a sloppy head kick and Scorpion moves out of range easily.
Maximus throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Scorpion connects with a body shot.
Maximus lands with a good body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Maximus moves forwards but Scorpion connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Scorpion takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Scorpion is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Maximus instigates a clinch.
Maximus lands a right hand.
Scorpion swings wildly with an uppercut but Maximus uses good head movement to avoid it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ranky Scorpion will probably get the nod.
That's time! Scorpion's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Scorpion cracks Maximus with a good jab.
Ranky Scorpion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Scorpion bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Maximus's head.
Scorpion tries to bum rush Maximus with a series of wild strikes but Maximus uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Maximus counters with a body kick.
Maximus with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Scorpion to score with a decent uppercut.
Maximus is stalking Scorpion. Scorpion circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Maximus, and it's lights out! Scorpion really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). DJ Maximus!
During a confident post fight interview, DJ Maximus thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
The defeated Ranky Scorpion had this to say: 'jj why don't you learn to do sliders right already shit'.
