The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Adams takes the fight into the clinch.
Martinez tries to pull guard but Adams holds him up against the cage and eventually Martinez drops back down to his feet.

Martinez told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Martinez fails to pull guard.
Al Adams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcos Martinez.
Adams lands a right hand.
Martinez jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Adams walks away with a smile on his face. Martinez gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Adams moves into range and clinches up with Martinez.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Martinez jumps guard but Adams turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Martinez tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Adams gets through Martinez's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Martinez is rocked!

Adams creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Martinez with a big uppercut! Martinez tries to clinch up but Adams pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Martinez to the mat! Martinez covers up and Adams unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
