Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lance Duterte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Gomez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duterte comes to the cage accompanied by im just a kid. Lance Duterte could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tito Gomez's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duterte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gomez moves away.
A head kick by Duterte misses

and Gomez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Duterte manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Gomez keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Duterte misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Gomez is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Duterte is defending well.
Gomez blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Duterte lands a nice elbow.
Duterte misses with an elbow strike.

Duterte manages to break the clinch.
Duterte misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Duterte tries to land a body kick

and Gomez counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Gomez wants to control but Duterte is keeping him busy.
Duterte tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Gomez has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Gomez wants to finish this one by submission but Duterte is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gomez.
Gomez prevents Duterte from getting the reversal.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Duterte's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Gomez lands a heavy elbow.

Gomez is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Duterte can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Duterte is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Duterte is desperately trying to improve his position but Gomez has a good base and remains in mount.

Gomez is working for a guillotine from mount but Duterte frees his head quite easily.

Gomez lands a big shot there that rocks Duterte but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Duterte tries to improve his position but Gomez has taken his back! Gomez has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Duterte tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Gomez pushes Duterte away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
