Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 12 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Pick!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Hallick!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pick throws out a loose jab but Hallick uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pick looks to land a left hand but Hallick moved out of range nicely.

Pick moves into range and clinches up with Hallick.
A short uppercut from Hallick.
Hallick tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hallick lands with a light punch inside.

Pick breaks from the clinch.
Hallick walks into a left hand.


It looks like Al Hallick has been cut.
Pick has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Hallick swings away with a body shot that misses
and Pick counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hallick swings for the body but Pick moves out of range.
Hallick looks to score with a jab to the body but Pick is just out of range.

Hallick pushes Pick up against the cage in a clinch.
Hallick pushes Pick back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.


It looks like Steve Pick has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pick tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
A head punch on the inside from Hallick fails to land.
Pick taking a breather.
Hallick is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Pick misses with a punch on the inside.

Pick misses with a short punch on the inside.

Hallick fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Pick misses with a hook from the clinch.
Pick misses with the head strike.
Still in the clinch, Hallick scores with a nice short uppercut.
Hallick softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hallick just leaning against Pick, taking a breather.
Pick misses with the head strike.
Pick throws a punch but it's blocked by Hallick.
Hallick lands a nice uppercut.
Pick has a couple of punches blocked by Hallick.
Hallick will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Pick up against the cage.

Pick pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pick rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hallick counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Pick throws a poor cross that misses
and Hallick counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pick swings widly with a right hand
and Hallick counters with a nice body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pick bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
A big right from Pick misses.
Pick throws a right hand that misses
and Hallick counters with a stiff right hand.
Donk. Hallick catches Pick right on the button with a cross.
Hallick slips under a jab from Pick.
Pick throws an off balance right hand
and Hallick counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Steve Pick seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pick misses with a looping left.
Hallick is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
Pick thows a leg kick but Hallick checks it
and Hallick connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Steve Pick's cut is getting worse.
Pick misses with an uppercut.
Pick throws a body punch but Hallick moves out of range.
Hallick thows a left - swing and a miss!
Pick throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Hallick to counter with a crisp jab.
Hallick moves out of range of the leg kick from Pick.
Hallick let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Hallick throws a shot to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Pick misses with a hook.
Pick moves to clinch but Hallick breaks away
and Hallick counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Pick blocks a jab.
Pick misses with an uppercut
and Hallick connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Hallick lands a big head kick that sends Pick tumbling to the mat! Hallick takes a step backwards and waves Pick back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Pick is rocked!


Steve Pick's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Hallick slips a straight right by Pick.
Oh Pick is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hallick fakes the body blow, causing Pick to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Pick goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Al Hallick!
A relieved looking Al Hallick thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Steve Pick was interviewed post fight and said 'Next time I will beat this weirdo'.
