PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abed Nadir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jer Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Nadir might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to M.A.S.H Theme. Bear is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Good Times. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 28 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Abed Nadir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jer Bear!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, William Peck and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Nadir.
The fighters circle momentarily. Bear darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Nadir slips a jab and a cross from Bear.
Nadir misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bear.
Nadir throws a hook to the side of Bear's head but Bear sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Bear shoots in and drives through. Nadir sprawls well.
Bear shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nadir sprawls well. Nadir wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bear gets slowly back to his feet.
Bear throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Abed Nadir has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing reports that Nadir has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Bear bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nadir's guard.

Bear gets to his feet - Nadir follows without any prompting.

Bear takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Nadir for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.
Bear has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nadir is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Abed Nadir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Bear throws a leg kick but Nadir sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Bear will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nadir up against the cage.

I would just about give that final round to Jer Bear.
Well Bear has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
