The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Garcia closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Score +4 for clean takedown past guard: Garcia (4) vs (0) Charles
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Charles is trying to get back to half guard.
Charles has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Garcia is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Charles looks calm but he's in trouble here. Garcia gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Charles is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Garcia lets go of the hold and Charles can pop his arm back in it's socket.
