Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking body kick lands there for Sands.
Rand throws a sloppy head kick
and Sands counters with a solid body kick.
Sands throws a leg kick which misses Rand's front leg but catches the back leg as Rand tries to avoid it.
Sands fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Sands lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Rand chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Sands can pounce on him.
Sands bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rand's head.

It looks like Danir Rand has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Rand takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Rand thuds his right hand into Sands's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Rand tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sands was well out of range. Poor timing from Rand.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sands takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Sands tries to throw a body punch but Rand avoids it by throwing Sands back against the cage.

Sands wants to get back to striking at distance but Rand won't allow it.
Sands blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Sands on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Sands trying to control the position but instead, Rand has worked for underhooks and has pushed Sands into the cage.
Sands's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Sands is looking to control Rand's arms but Rand gets an underhook and turns him. Now Sands has his back to the cage.

Sands swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Sands is leaning against Rand and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A right handed body shot lands from Sands.
Rand swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Sands escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rand takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Rand. Sands does a little dance to reset his feet.

A slow jab from Rand misses its intended target.
Sands looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Sands throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Sands explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Rand is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Oooooh!!! Sands has knocked Rand down with a huge combo! Sands steps away and waves a wobbly Rand back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Rand is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Oh Rand is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sands cracks Rand with a left hook right on the temple and Rand goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Sands lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Rand is OK!
