With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Harold Nicolas!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicolas throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Nicolas throws a hook but Aokison blocks it.
Aokison tries to counter with a takedown but Nicolas is quick to defend against it.
Aokison looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Nicolas misses with an uppercut. Aokison saw that one coming.
Aokison moves in looking to clinch but Nicolas pushes him off.
Nicolas appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
The crowd cheers as Aokison lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nicolas doesn't seem phased though.

Aokison gets a clinch.
Aokison tries to throw a body punch but Nicolas avoids it by throwing Aokison back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nicolas breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Aokison throws a hook but Nicolas avoids it easily.
Aokison lands with a good body shot.
Aokison fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Nicolas looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Nicolas avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Nicolas scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Harold Nicolas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Aokison goes for a double leg but Nicolas avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nicolas continues to drive forward.
Aokison tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Nicolas counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Ryu Aokison has been cut.
Aokison darts in trying to clinch
and Aokison takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Aokison gets a clinch.
Aokison will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nicolas up against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A left hand lands to the body for Nicolas.
Nicolas wants to break free but Aokison has control.

Aokison decides to pull guard.

Aokison is looking to cinch up a triangle. Nicolas throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Aokison's body to avoid the submission. Aokison has instead reached around Nicolas's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Aokison arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ryu Aokison!
A relieved looking Ryu Aokison thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
