The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins scores with a head kick. Cherry tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Cherry gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Cherry tries to score a body lock takedown but Jenkins shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Cherry is looking to take this one to the mat.

Jenkins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jenkins has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Cherry is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Cherry misses with a takedown attempt - Jenkins sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Jenkins seems keen to control Cherry's posture.
Cherry might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jenkins stuffs the takedown attempt from Cherry. Cherry gets slowly back to his feet.
Oh Cherry is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jenkins circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Cherry drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Jenkins follows Cherry to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
