Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Castor Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Castor Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Simon Strange!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins defending well as Strange loads up on a big left hand.
Strange has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rollins is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Strange throws an overhand right that lands on Rollins's shoulder, as Rollins tries to avoid the shot.
The fighters circling - Rollins throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rollins tries a head kick but it misses.
Strange clobbers Rollins with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Strange throws a body shot but no joy.
Rollins tries to counter by clinching up but Strange breaks away and moves out of range.
Strange takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A jab from Strange misses.
Rollins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Strange keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rollins throws a looping overhand right but Strange ducks down to avoid it.
Rollins takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Rollins slips under a jab from Strange.
Strange misses with a left hand
and Rollins counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rollins misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Strange ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Rollins fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Strange on the side of the head.
Strange jabs Rollins right on the nose. Rollins blinks but takes it well.
Strange dodges the punch combination from Rollins.
Strange shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rollins scoring well with a low kick there.
Strange scores with a jab.
Strange throws a poor cross that misses
and Rollins counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Strange loads up on a big right hand but Rollins slips the punch.
Strange avoids the head kick by Rollins.
Rollins walks into a straight right hand from Strange.
Rollins definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Rollins moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Strange thuds his right hand into Rollins's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Strange throws a shot to the body.
Rollins ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Strange scores with a jab to the head.
Rollins shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Strange fails with the takedown
and Rollins counters with a solid body kick.
Strange's corner calls for a 1-2. Strange obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Strange just misses with a punch to the body.
Rollins is looking to slow Strange down with leg kicks.
Rollins tries to land a front kick but Strange steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Strange decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rollins's guard.
Rollins looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Strange trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Strange postures up in Rollins's guard and throws a big left but Rollins blocks it.
Rollins has his hands on Strange's head, controlling the position.

Rollins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Strange stands up over Rollins, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rollins looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Rollins wants to sweep here but Strange controlling him for the moment.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Strange trying to control the position from guard on top but Rollins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Strange accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Strange keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rollins's head.
Strange is looking to work some ground and pound but Rollins has wrist control.
Strange scoring with punches to the head and body.
Rollins is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Rollins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Strange gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Strange is working Rollins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Simon Strange dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Strange misses with a straight right.
Rollins appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Rollins walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Strange throws an ugly left hook that misses

and Rollins moves into the clinch.

Rollins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Strange throws a predictable looking body shot
and Rollins cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rollins takes a swing at Strange's ribcage but misses.
Strange might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Strange throws a leg kick
and Rollins counters with a thumping low kick.
Strange fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rollins avoids it really well and circles away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Strange misses with a low kick.
Strange lands a slapping body shot.
Strange throws an off balance right hand
and Rollins counters with a one-two to the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Strange shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rollins pinned against the cage. Rollins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Rollins staying out of range there.
Strange tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Rollins is able to avoid easily.
Strange connects with a right hand. Rollins shakes it off.
Rollins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Strange. That did some damage!
Rollins avoids the body shot from Strange.
The fighters circling - Rollins throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Rollins throws a solid leg kick but Strange takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Rollins.
Strange shoots in looking for a takedown but Rollins manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Strange's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Castor Rollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon Strange.
Rollins takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Strange shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Strange throws out a loose jab but Rollins uses good head movement to avoid it.

Rollins throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Strange shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Rollins is trying to defend but Strange finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Rollins moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Strange passes Rollins's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Rollins tries to get to full guard but Strange has control of the leg.
Strange not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Strange throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Rollins is trying to maintain the position but Strange is very close to passing his half guard.
Strange wants to free his trapped foot but Rollins is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Strange trying to work for an americana but Rollins has managed to regain full guard.
Rollins has his hands on Strange's head, controlling the position.
Strange works over Rollins with some ground and pound from guard.
Strange pushing down on Rollins's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Strange looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Rollins regains full guard. Nicely done.

Rollins pulls Strange in to control the position.
Strange in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Strange looking to sit in guard and control but Rollins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Strange not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Castor Rollins will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!


A looping hook to the body misses from Rollins. Strange does a little dance to reset his feet.
Strange tries to work over Rollins's front leg with a kick but Rollins checks it.
Rollins tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Strange was well out of range. Poor timing from Rollins.
A head kick misses from Strange.

Strange's jab looks to have found its range, popping Rollins under the eye.
Rollins lands with a straight right. Strange didn't see that one coming.
Strange looks to score with a jab to the body but Rollins is just out of range.

Rollins attempts a counter takedown but Strange avoids it well and moves away.

Good leg kick by Strange there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Strange scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rollins in his tracks.

Strange closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rollins to the mat! Rollins manages to get full guard.
Strange won't allow Rollins to sweep him here.
Strange stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Rollins swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Rollins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Rollins is trying to control the position but Strange postures up.
Strange is working Rollins over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Rollins is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Rollins looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Strange sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Rollins's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Strange lands a nice short elbow.

Rollins regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Strange.
Strange trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Rollins is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Rollins looking to hit a scissor sweep but Strange is one step ahead there.
Strange postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Rollins is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Strange lands a couple of elbows.

Strange landing with the ground and pound.
Strange distracts Rollins with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Rollins keeping moving, preventing Strange from controlling successfully.
Strange is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rollins is trying to control the position but Strange postures up.
Rollins is really struggling to control Strange but he's trying to hold on to the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Strange stands up over Rollins, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Strange loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

And that's the end of the fight!
Simon Strange comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Strange has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
