Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lucifer Palhares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and IL PO (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). PO has chosen Tai Chi Kickboxer as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, IL PO!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, John Kavanagh and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Palhares shoots in for a double leg but PO sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
PO throws a series of punches but Palhares moves out of range.
Palhares misses with a hook. PO ducked under it nicely.
Palhares looks to land a combination. PO sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
We've been informed that PO has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
PO stuffs the takedown.
Palhares throws a leg kick which misses PO's front leg but catches the back leg as PO tries to avoid it.
Palhares misses with a body shot.
PO follows through with a counter body kick but it doesn't land.
Palhares throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
The fighters circling - PO throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Palhares shoots in but no luck this time.

PO avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Palhares swings and misses with a hook to the body.
PO scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Palhares doesn't seem bothered though.

PO fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Palhares has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

PO lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Palhares moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A slow jab from Palhares misses its intended target.
Palhares looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? PO is fending him off so far but Palhares persists. Nope, PO circles away and we're back to standing.

PO feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Palhares collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
