PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jonny Bones Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kostya Tszyu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kostya Tszyu told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bones Junior rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tszyu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bones Junior moves out of range of the strikes.
Tszyu on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Jonny Bones Junior seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tszyu throws a nice looking combination but Bones Junior bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Bones Junior loads up on a big right hand but Tszyu slips the punch.
As Bones Junior backs off Tszyu throws a huge counter combo but Bones Junior manages to avoid it all.
Bones Junior throws the left hand but Tszyu avoids the punch easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tszyu is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bones Junior needs to keep his hands up - Tszyu had a free shot at his head there.
It looks like Bones Junior has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Bones Junior escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bones Junior is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Tszyu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

It seemed like Tszyu was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Bones Junior is rocked!
Tszyu drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Bones Junior's head, knocking him out cold! Tszyu is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kostya Tszyu!
After winning the bout, Kostya Tszyu thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Jonny Bones Junior spoke after the fight, saying 'What a load of shit! I know I'm capable of beating him!'.
