Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lee Sin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Howson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sin might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Original Nuttah. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howson blocks a leg kick.
Howson has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Sin throws a jab when Howson was well out of range.
Lee Sin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howson lands with a kick to the ribs.
Sin looks to score with a jab to the body but Howson is just out of range.
Howson looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Sin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Howson appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Sin goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Sin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Howson manages to avoid it.

Howson throws an overhand right that lands on Sin's shoulder, as Sin tries to avoid the shot.
Sin will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Howson swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Howson's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Sin connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Howson scrambles back to his feet.

Howson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

A little jabbing left from Howson on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Sin dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Howson throws a jab when Sin was well out of range.
A quick step to the side and Sin tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Some bone on bone action there as Howson checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.

Howson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sin.
Howson walks into a left hand.
Sin comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sin fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Howson checks it well.

and Sin makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Sin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Howson can do to turn this around?

The crowd cheers as Sin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Howson doesn't seem phased though.
Sin cracks Howson with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Sin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Howson.
Sin has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Howson throws a shot from downtown. Sin moves away and avoids it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Sin. Howson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sin lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Sin tries to bum rush Howson with a series of wild strikes but Howson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Howson now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Howson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

It seemed like Howson was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Sin throws a jab but it's blocked by Howson.

Howson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Sin throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Howson counters with a nice uppercut.
Sin sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Sin moves out of range as Howson throws a body kick.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Howson might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Sin has got the better of the exchanges.

Sin shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Howson connects with a crisp jab.

Sin throws a jab but it's blocked by Howson.

Sin scores with the left hand. Howson knows he should have avoided that one.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Howson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sin - the referee stops the clock and Howson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sin. Howson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Howson throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.

Howson scores with a hook to the body. Sin takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sin keeps Howson at a distance using the push kick.

Howson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Sin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

I would just about give that final round to Dan Howson.
Well Sin has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
