Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boris Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murphy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hot Rod. Boris Brown will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brown shoots in looking for a takedown but Murphy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Brown's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Brown is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Murphy moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off.
Murphy is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Brown.

It looks like Boris Brown has been cut.
Murphy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Brown avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brandon Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
No joy there for Murphy, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brown with the counter takedown but Murphy avoids it easily.
Murphy throws a lazy uppercut

and Brown counters with a nice double leg into side control. Murphy won't be happy with that.

Brown is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Murphy knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Brown thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Brown is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Murphy is just riding it out for now. Brown eventually gives up the hold.

Brown is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Murphy sees it coming and defends easily.

Murphy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Brown moves away.

Murphy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brown paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Murphy lands a left and a right that send Brown crashing to the mat, dazed. Murphy thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Brown drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Murphy defends it well.
Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brown glances at the clock... BAM! Murphy nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Brown crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Brown is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
