Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Halo Olah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Love-Hate Powell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Love-Hate Powell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Halo Olah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Love-Hate Powell!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Powell gets caught napping as Olah dives in and scores a takedown. Powell manages to retain guard.
Olah loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Powell has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Olah lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Olah trying to control the position from guard on top but Powell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Powell is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Olah seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Olah postures up in Powell's guard and throws a big left but Powell blocks it.

Olah throws an elbow that misses. Powell uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Olah's guard. Nice move by Powell!

Olah bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Powell's guard.

Olah wants to pass the guard but Powell is keeping the position.
Olah is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Olah stands up over Powell, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Olah has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Powell is on top in guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Olah has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Powell is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Olah.
Powell looks up at the clock and then as Olah takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Powell smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Olah tries to improve position but can't.
Olah is working hard here to advance position.
Olah looking for a sweep but Powell has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Olah keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Olah tries to hold on but Powell pushes him away.

Olah is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Powell scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Powell is landing with some decent strikes but Olah is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Olah sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Olah is looking to get back to full guard here but Powell has managed to pass to side control instead.
Olah is looking to reverse the position.
Powell lands an elbow.
Olah tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Powell wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Olah manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Powell throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Powell passes Olah's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Olah is looking for a sweep. Powell is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Powell is looking to take a break and control but Olah is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Olah has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Powell is working away from the top position though.
Powell drops an elbow to the side of Olah's head.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Love-Hate Powell dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Powell.
Olah just misses with a punch to the body.
Powell looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Olah shoots in looking for a takedown. Powell tries to sprawl out of it but Olah keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Powell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Powell throws a chopping leg kick but Olah manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Olah uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Powell.
Powell fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Olah looks to land a left hand but Powell moved out of range nicely.
Powell throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Olah missing with a left hand there. Powell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Powell tries to counter by closing the distance.

Powell checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Powell scores with a jab. Olah acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Powell looks to throw the jab but Olah is out of range.
Powell moves out of range as Olah throws a body kick.
Powell tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Powell is looking to score with low kicks.
Powell scores with a leg kick.
Olah lands a lovely overhand right.
Olah lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Olah tries to score a power double leg takedown but Powell sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Olah somewhat.

Sloppy strikes from Olah. Those never looked like landing.
Nice straight punches there by Powell. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Powell.
Olah misses with a kick to the body

and Powell counters with a single leg into guard. Olah didn't expect that.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Powell connects with a couple of short punches.
Olah is looking to sweep but instead, Powell has passed into half guard.
Olah trying to get back to full guard but Powell takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Powell can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Olah is looking to escape.
Olah is looking to improve his position but Powell isn't that keen on the idea.

Olah gets back to half guard.
Powell wants to pass to mount but Olah is defending the position.
Olah is holding on to half guard well.
Olah tries to roll over but Powell keeps him under control.
Powell is pressing down on Olah's thigh, looking to free his foot. Olah is holding on for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Powell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Olah makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Olah.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Powell. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Olah is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Love-Hate Powell showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Powell makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Powell ducks under a wild hook from Olah.
Olah takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Olah throws a combination that misses

and Powell counters with a takedown into side control.
Powell landing a few strikes.
Olah is looking for a sweep.
Powell trying to control the action but Olah is working from the bottom.

Powell wants to lay and pray for a moment but Olah keeps working.

Olah is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Powell defends well.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Powell working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Olah's head.
Love-Hate Powell is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Olah wants to sweep here but Powell controlling him for the moment.
Olah being controlled here, momentarily.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Olah working for submissions but it's allowed Powell to get to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Olah tries to get to full guard but Powell has control of the leg.

And that's the end of the fight!
Love-Hate Powell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Powell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
