The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Little moves into range and clinches up with Ellis.
Little gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Ellis is doing well to control the position and prevent Little from advancing to side control.
Still in half guard, Little seems content to control.
Ellis is refusing to be controlled, as Little sits in half guard.
Little working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Ellis's thigh. Ellis counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Ellis is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Ellis manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Little is looking to break free of the clinch but Ellis has double underhooks.
Ellis is trying to push Little away but Little has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Ellis manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Ellis has a closed guard, preventing Little from standing up.
Ellis is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ellis drops back looking for a leg! Little is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Little manages to kick Ellis off! Ellis jumps back into Little's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Little avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Little pushes Ellis up against the cage in a clinch.
Ellis tries to pull guard but Little holds him up against the cage and eventually Ellis drops back down to his feet.
Little jumps guard and drags Ellis to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
