Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Richard West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Griffin McElroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McElroy lands with a kick to the temple. West shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
McElroy ducks under a wild hook from West.

McElroy forces West back against the cage and clinches.
West doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
A body shot lands from West.
McElroy blocks an uppercut.
West lands with a light punch inside.
West swings away with an uppercut that misses.
West lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of McElroy backwards.
McElroy tries to work over West's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
West struggles to land a body shot inside as McElroy controls his hands.
McElroy trying to stall but West improves his position.

McElroy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A left and a right from McElroy both land. Nice combination.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

McElroy forces West back against the cage and clinches.
A head punch on the inside from West fails to land.
The referee is keeping an eye on West - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
West lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
McElroy goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McElroy has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
McElroy is trying to maintain a safe position but West gets an underhook and turns McElroy into the cage.
McElroy blocks an uppercut.
A quick uppercut on the inside from West.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
West lands a nice uppercut.
West lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

McElroy is rocked!
A short body shot lands from West as the two fighters clinch.
McElroy looks winded!
West lands with a left to the head.
McElroy is still on wobbly legs! Can West finish him?
West lands with a short punch from the clinch.
West misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short right hand to the side of the head by West.
West lands a big right hand that drops McElroy! The killer instinct kicks in and West finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by West!
