The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantas scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Bishop shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dantas's guard.
Dantas is looking to stand back up but Bishop counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Dantas.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Dantas wants to get back to his feet.

Bishop content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

Bishop connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Dantas some visible discomfort.
