Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Anderson Aldo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Piranha Chonan!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Aldo.

Chonan steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Aldo.

As Chonan backs away, Aldo returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Aldo dips to his left and cracks Chonan with an uppercut!
Aldo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Aldo lands a nice hook to Chonan's body. Chonan takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Chonan wants to clinch up but Aldo keeps it at a distance.
Aldo swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Chonan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aldo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Piranha Chonan's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Aldo throws a jab but it's blocked by Chonan.

Aldo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Chonan can do to turn this around?

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Chonan in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Aldo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Chonan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fight stays on the outside here - Chonan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Chonan tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Chonan wants to clinch but Aldo slips to the side
and Aldo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Piranha Chonan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Piranha Chonan's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Piranha Chonan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Anderson Aldo!
