Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vasily Kornilov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Parke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Vasily Kornilov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Norman Parke!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kornilov is looking to slow Parke down with leg kicks.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kornilov is pulling down on Parke's head. It's preventing any offense from Parke, at least for the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Parke fakes the leg kick and cracks Kornilov in the body.
Parke finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That was a close round but I would say that Vasily Kornilov will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Parke shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Parke in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Kornilov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parke tries to avoid it but Kornilov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parke to the ground. Parke escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
It seemed like Parke was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Kornilov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Parke's waist but Parke gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kornilov off to one side.

Kornilov wants to take the fight to the mat but Parke manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Vasily Kornilov spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
