The crowd seem to be enjoying Rose's choice of entrance music: You Could Be Mine. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose throws the kick towards the body but Julio avoids it.
Don Julio seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Julio pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Julio lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Julio lands with a straight right. Rose didn't see that one coming.
Rose feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Julios jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Rose blocks a head kick by Julio.
Julio takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Good standup being displayed there by Julio as he connects with a hook.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rose takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Rose lands a jab to Julio's midsection.

Rose throws a hook but Julio avoids it easily.
Rose feints and then cracks Julio's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Julio down.

Rose has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Julio throws an overhand right that lands on Rose's shoulder, as Rose tries to avoid the shot.

enabling Rose to counter with a crisp jab.
Julio lands with a slapping head kick.
Julio is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Rose feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Julio sprawling to the canvas! Julio rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Rose finish him?!
