Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Khaliev has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Khaliev there as he acknowledges the shot.

Funk has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Khaliev lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Funk fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Khaliev has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Funk feints and then cracks Khaliev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Khaliev down.

Funk tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Khaliev manages to circle out of the way.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Khaliev shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Funk's guard.

Funk has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Khaliev to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Funk is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Khaliev pulls down on the head and he's put Funk to sleep! This one is all over!
