Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jos Beton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Corll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beton misses with a takedown attempt - Corll sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Corll counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Corll moves into range and connects with a jab.
Corll fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Nice sprawl there from Corll as Beton shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jos Beton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Beton shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Beton showed some decent athleticism there.
Beton is looking to take a break and control but Corll is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Beton is just content to waste time from the top position. Corll takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Beton is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Beton shoots in looking for a takedown. Corll tries to sprawl out of it but Beton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Corll manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Beton has been working on his balance at Holding Cell, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Corll.
Corll's corner calls for a 1-2. Corll obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Corll. No joy for Beton on that attempt.

Beton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Corll napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Corll's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corll is looking for a sweep.

Beton has hold of Corll's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Corll seems comfortable defending it but Beton has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Corll is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Corll is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Beton couldn't care less - he's delighted!
