Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Sauve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Krejzi Kure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Kure's choice of entrance music: BIG SHUG - who's hard. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Sauve!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Krejzi Kure!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Tarja Halkonen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kure swings for the body but Sauve moves out of range.
Kure blocks a jab.
Kure throws a poor cross that misses
and Sauve cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
A punch combination from Sauve misses.
Sauve misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kure.
Sauve walks into a straight right hand from Kure.
Sauve keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
A slapping leg kick lands for Sauve.
Sauve misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kure unleashes a big counter combination but Sauve bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Kure moves into the clinch successfully.
Sauve lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Sauve misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Kure.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Sauve.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Kure throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sauve connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

and Sauve counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Kure throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sauve.

Sauve lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kure takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Kure throws a body punch but Sauve moves out of range.
Sauve lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

and Kure counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Sauve thinking.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Kure takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kure has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sauve finds it's way round the side to connect with Kure's head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kure looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And Sauve counters with a quick kick to the body but Kure blocks it.

Sauve throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kure pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Sauve throws a sloppy head kick and Kure moves out of range easily.
Sauve uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kure.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kure has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kure ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sauve moves away.
Kure is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Sauve rather than just go for the knockout.

Sauve is trying to force a seperation but Kure has the dominant position.
The referee is keeping an eye on Kure - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kure wants to control but Sauve is keeping him busy.

Sauve escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kure gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Oh Sauve is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Kure wants to take a breather but Sauve is having none of it.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kure looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Krejzi Kure showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Kure throws a shot from downtown. Sauve moves away and avoids it.
Sauve misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sauve punishes Kure's body with a nice straight punch.
Kure looks to land a left hand but Sauve moved out of range nicely.
Kyle Sauve seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sauve, as that shot connected.
Sauve throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sauve looks to land a right hand but Kure moved out of range.
Kure doesn't manage to clinch there - Sauve circles away.

Kure decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kure takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Sauve tries to roll over but Kure keeps him under control.
Kure is looking to advance position but Sauve won't allow it.
Kure lands with a punch from half guard.
Sauve is not content to let Kure control the position.

Kure is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kure moves into full mount! Sauve won't be happy about that!
A big strike lands for Kure! That's really hurt Sauve and he's turned his back - Kure keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Kure jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:34 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Krejzi Kure!
A relieved looking Krejzi Kure thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
